Our beachhead is commercial electricians. We are based in Bamboo Detroit, working a mixture of remotely and in-office.

The Role

We are hiring our first product manager to join the Rivet team. This role works directly with the founding team to build on an already strong As Product Manager, you will be responsible for product feature planning and execution throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will work closely with the founding team to build and maintain a product roadmap that supports revenue growth and customer retention. We are looking for someone excited to join an early stage startup in the heart of Detroit, and bring a solution to scale.

You will

  • Define and deliver product features that align with company strategy and meet customer needs
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with sales, customer success, engineering, and design
  • Become an expert in our customers workflows, deeply understanding their pain points
  • Prioritize features, develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap
  • Author user stories and write specifications for product features as part of an Agile team

You may be a good fit for this role if you have

  • Past experience in Product Management, UX, or Customer Success at a SaaS company
  • Ability to process and weigh multiple complex and competing priorities, and make decisions on priority
  • Empathy for customer pains, and driven by a desire to relieve them
  • Obsessive attention to detail when collaborating and documenting work on product features
  • Familiarity and experience with software development practices

Nice to haves

  • Experience with JIRA and FIGMA
  • A history of working in or around the skilled trades
  • Experience with project and workforce management solutions, including scheduling, forecasting, time tracking, certifications, and compliance

The Role:

This role joins RIVET’s commercial team to distribute our message and brand to contractors and the construction market at large. You’ll be close to the CMO, to identify, develop and evaluate marketing strategies for the brand. You’ll build content and marketing strategies that raise awareness and consideration while measuring lead conversion via marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about building an underdog brand from the ground up, have intense creativity, a knack for content creation, and a vision for all things targeted to the right personas.

This is a great opportunity for any marketing professional eager to scale a high-potential business solving an urgent problem in the construction industry with a best-in-class software solution.

You will:

  • Execute marketing campaigns: gathering KPIs, research, suggestive outlets and targets, content and asset requirements, campaign set-up, management, and analytics for report presentation with recommendations.
  • Write and create great content. Manage daily content calendar and publishing.
  • Work cross-functionally to build training content that supports customer education, onboarding and in-platform support.
  • Project manage and coordinate events and trade shows.
  • Need strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of the Rivet application.
  • Provide thoughtful and calculated marketing tactics that support funnel conversion.
  • Act in alignment to the organization’s culture, products, image and target market.

Requirements:

  • 3 – 10 years expertise in brand, marketing, or communications roles
  • A strong and vast understanding of driving the entire marketing process, including communications, advertising, digital events, content and campaigns
  • You’ve set up and managed campaigns in Google Ads, Facebook/IG, and LinkedIn. Experience in Pinterest, Reddit, Twitter, TikTok, and other third-party publisher networks is a plus.
  • You understand the importance of little details, like sizing requirements, campaign specifics, prep for SEO content, trade show logistics, etc.
  • Resourceful: your experience has opened up your eyes to what a task can include, dependencies, and how to make recommendations on completion timelines, costs, and liabilities.
  • Experience with Marketing CRMs; managing and articulating HubSpot for all it offers is a plus!
  • A positive attitude
  • Great organization and time management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • An execution mindset (speed and iteration in this role are critical)

Job Description

Help us push the boundaries of the React API and modern browsers with clean, intuitive, and highly interactive interfaces for scheduling and dispatching skilled workers to job sites. Give superpowers to the unions, trade schools, and contractors who employ them by taking our scheduling gantt chart software to the next level.

Requirements

1) Several years of experience shipping commercial applications in our stack:
  • React/Redux front end client
  • Highly interactive click-and-drag interfaces on an oversized web canvas
  • Optimize rendering and performance for views with large, complex data sets
  • JavaScript (ES6) & TypeScript

2) Willingness and ability to carry weight on a small, swift development team

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Git and Agile software development
  • Solid product and design instincts

3) Bonus qualifications

  • A history of working in or around the skilled trades
