Requirements

1) Experience shipping commercial applications in our stack:

  • NodeJS, JavaScript (ES6) & TypeScript
  • HTML5, CSS
  • React/Redux front end client
  • Node-Express back end server
  • SQL / ORM data access layer

2) Willingness and ability to carry weight on a small, swift development team

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Git and Agile software development
  • Solid product and design instincts
  • Able to write your own tests and check your own types

3) Bonus qualifications

  • Cloud deployments (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud)
  • A history of working in or around the skilled trades

Help us push the boundaries of the React API and modern browsers with clean, intuitive, and highly interactive interfaces for scheduling and dispatching skilled workers to job sites. Give superpowers to the unions, trade schools, and contractors who employ them by taking our scheduling gantt chart software to the next level.

Requirements

1) Several years of experience shipping commercial applications in our stack:
  • React/Redux front end client
  • Highly interactive click-and-drag interfaces on an oversized web canvas
  • Optimize rendering and performance for views with large, complex data sets
  • JavaScript (ES6) & TypeScript

Job Description

We’re looking for a UX Designer to join our team!

The Rivet product and development teams need a UX Designer to bring life, structure and usability to the fast-evolving Rivet platform. With new feature concepts worked on daily, this role will be integral to every step of the product development process as well as the brand experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create user-centered designs by understanding business and technical requirements and user feedback
  • Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, low and high fidelity mockups
  • Translate requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces
  • Design product UI elements as well as marketing graphics for a cohesive brand experience
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
  • Collaborate effectively with product, engineering and management teams
  • Incorporate customer feedback, usage metrics and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a UI/UX Designer preferred as well as a strong portfolio of related projects
  • Proficient in prototyping tools such as Figma required
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript skills or working knowledge are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Strong aptitude for technical software products

The Role

We are hiring our first product manager to join the Rivet team. This role works directly with the founding team to build on an already strong As Product Manager, you will be responsible for product feature planning and execution throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will work closely with the founding team to build and maintain a product roadmap that supports revenue growth and customer retention. We are looking for someone excited to join an early stage startup in the heart of Detroit, and bring a solution to scale.

You will

  • Define and deliver product features that align with company strategy and meet customer needs
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with sales, customer success, engineering, and design
  • Become an expert in our customers workflows, deeply understanding their pain points
  • Prioritize features, develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap
  • Author user stories and write specifications for product features as part of an Agile team

You may be a good fit for this role if you have

  • Past experience in Product Management, UX, or Customer Success at a SaaS company
  • Ability to process and weigh multiple complex and competing priorities, and make decisions on priority
  • Empathy for customer pains, and driven by a desire to relieve them
  • Obsessive attention to detail when collaborating and documenting work on product features
  • Familiarity and experience with software development practices

  • Experience with JIRA and FIGMA

The Role:
This role teams up alongside Rivet’s Business Development Director to build a business with incredible runway and potential. This position will offer the right person an opportunity to grow and lead a sales team, yet the immediate need is to jump in with both feet, leverage all resources at your disposal, to mature and close an already active pipeline.

Upon addressing Rivet’s urgent focus on mid-funnel conversion, this role will transition focus into generating new revenue with top-of-funnel prospecting, supported by Rivet’s strategic partner’s nationwide direct sales team. As an individual contributor, you will collaborate with Rivet’s commercial team and sales partners while fiercely networking with industry prospects to find and deliver growth.

While supporting successful conversion of Rivet’s current pipeline and partnering to exponentially increase top-of-funnel volume, you will learn what the best approach is and will model the sales team vision accordingly. From there, you will work with leadership to recruit, hire and train a best-in-class team, and compound your production of revenue growth through field sales leadership.

This is a great opportunity for any senior sales professional eager to scale a high-potential business solving an urgent problem in the construction industry with a best-in-class software solution.

You will:

  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of the Rivet application
  • Provide thoughtful and calculated resources and tactics for funnel conversion
  • Partner with the Rivet commercial team and channel sales partners to increase top-of-funnel volume and sales cycle velocity
  • Recruit, hire, onboard and lead a sales team
  • Exceed your individual and team revenue targets
  • Provide pipeline reporting to leadership, working out of Hubspot

  • A strong and vast understanding of driving the entire sales process, including prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing
  • Sales leadership and revenue track records with B2B SaaS products
