Overview

RIVET connects to Foundation — the specialized construction accounting platform contractors trust — with an automated, read-only connection. Foundation remains your system of record, and RIVET syncs people, projects, and WIP from it on a schedule. No extra permissions setup is required in Foundation.

RIVET Workforce Table

What syncs

RIVET pulls the data it needs to plan labor from Foundation:

  • People / workers
  • Projects
  • WIP (work-in-progress)

Cost-code mapping enables scope-based planning and scheduling.

How it connects

RIVET connects to Foundation with a read-only ODBC connection; SFTP is also available:

  • ODBC — read-only database access with login credentials (the ODBC user sees the standard set of tables RIVET uses)
  • SFTP / manual file drop — Foundation report-builder exports, automated from Foundation cloud or email to RIVET's SFTP

For firewalled or cloud-hosted Foundation environments, RIVET's IPs must be allowlisted. Credentials should be stored securely and rotated periodically.
