Overview

Sage 300 CRE (Construction and Real Estate, formerly Timberline) is a legacy, on-premise ERP for accounting, job costing, and payroll. Because it has no native API, RIVET connects through the Trimble App Xchange on-prem agent. Sage 300 remains your system of record, and RIVET syncs workers, jobs, and scopes from it.

What syncs

RIVET pulls the data it needs to plan labor from Sage 300 CRE:

  • People / workers
  • Projects & WIP
  • Cost codes / categories for scope-based, trade-level planning
  • Filtered hours budgets from specific cost-code subsets

How it connects

Sage 300 has no native API (Pervasive database), so RIVET uses a connector-based approach:

  • Trimble App Xchange — via the Trimble On-Prem Agent installed in your environment
  • SFTP / scheduled file drop — an alternative path depending on your setup and infrastructure
